Generators, Space heaters and UPSes

My UPS does not accept the power from our generator because its frequency (63 Hz) is over my UPS's limit of 63 Hz.

Plugging a space heater set at full outside brought down the frequency to 62 Hz.

My UPS now accepts the power and I will be ready tomorrow when the power gets cut.

(I plan to switch to the generator 30 minutes before the power gets cut, so that I'm not in a rush to power my UPS when the power goes out)
