I just got Wi-Fi to work on Windows 98 SE. The only problem is that I must disable the password on my network. I dedicated a router for this computer and configured it so that it only accepts my PC's MAC address. Wi-Fi is easier than Ethernet, go figure. (I would still prefer to use Ethernet) I only had to install the driver for my PCMCIA Wi-Fi card and enter the SSID in the network settings in Control Panel.
