My new server came with a 1 TB SSD drive with Windows 10 installed on it. I put that drive in my old server hoping to install Ubuntu Server and have a second server. It did not work well. I had errors during the installation and after rebooting, the network card was intermittent. I would start a ping, it would work for five seconds and it would stop working. I am thus unable to install upgrades. Also, when the computer is off, the light on the network card is blinking. I'm starting to think that the server is defective. The hardware dates 2007 and we bought the server used in 2012.
