Electricity is used to split water into hydrogen and oxygen.

Then, they are burned together back into water.

Basically, it's an electric car that uses water as power transfer.

You don't fuel the car with water. You have to fuel it with already separated hydrogen and oxygen, that the car would turn back into water after burning them.

If you really wanted to use water, it would be a closed loop in the otherwise electric car.
