I just changed my ugly light socket with this nice LED fixture we bought on Amazon. History : Everywhere in the house, we have pot lights. During construction of the house, I decided to not have pot lights. I wanted a light socket. I regret this decision. Also, when the carpenter was installing the attic access (seen in the pictures), he put space between the drywall and the insulation for the pot lights, but I told him not to do that... Bad choice. He installed the attic access without that space. After, they would have added lath on the ceiling to make room for the pot lights and their power supplies. Now, installing pot lights is a very difficult job. We would have to drill holes in the insulation and add cables in the attic. This is a nice alternative. You can even change the light temperature with a swicth. I like it white in my office and warm in my bedroom. (I made the mistake of not having pot lights in both my office and my bedroom. My bathroom has pot lights).
