Today I installed the timer in the large shed for the outdoor outlets I want to install. There will be five of them. They are connected with direct-burial 12/3 cable. (I'm using gauge 12 instead of 14 because the last outlet is very far away. They will be on a double 15A breaker. The black wire is always powered and the red one is on the timer) I want to power my christmas lights with them. Last year, we used long extension cords.
